Canadians embraced virtual health-care options like phone or video appointments during the COVID -19 crisis, according to a new poll released by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
The survey released on Monday suggested almost 50% of Canadians have utilized virtual care or telemedicine during the pandemic, and the majority were satisfied with the experience. The adoption of virtual care is seen as a "silver lining" during the pandemic. However, more work is needed to streamline the virtual experience and select the appropriate patients and encounter types.
